My name is Andrea. I am a first-generation Nicaraguan and Mexican American Texan woman. I was raised by a strong, immigrant mother who worked extremely hard to provide me with a wonderful life. I saw family and friends struggle with drugs, alcohol, mental illness, and violence throughout my life. I found that I felt the most like myself when I was helping others through their struggles.

My experiences have shaped my passion for helping others heal and transform trauma into triumph. While my journey was difficult it taught me resilience and compassion for others. I enjoy assisting people to release any guilt, shame, or stigma they may have for their circumstances and flourish for the beautiful humans they are, as they are. I consider this my gift to share with others. I am compassionate and I'd love to help you, as my therapists helped me. I am a true believer in therapy as I connected so deeply with my therapists, professors, colleagues, and mentors.

I am dedicated to helping others release burdens and embrace their true selves, just as they are. I am passionate about serving a diverse clientele, including LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples, neurodivergent individuals, Spanish-speaking communities, immigrants, and refugees.

Living in Texas, a state marked by its cultural diversity and complex social issues has greatly influenced my therapeutic work. I am deeply aware of the unique challenges faced by various marginalized communities in the state and have honed my ability to address these specific needs in my counseling sessions.

My approach is holistic and person-centered. I listen deeply and non-judgmentally to understand each person's unique needs and circumstances. Together we build practical strategies and coping skills that allow my clients to flourish as the beautiful humans they truly are. I incorporate creative techniques like music, humor, positivity, and mindfulness to facilitate healing in a gentle yet impactful way.
